RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS & SUBDIVISION
Residential buildings come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from single-storey dwellings to high-rise units. Residential subdivisions can vary from an individual lot subdivided into two, up to large parcels of land subdivided into many hundreds of lots. Geotechnical issues include foundations subject to shrinking and swelling soils or soft soils, earthworks, acid sufate and saline soils, site contamination, stormwater infiltration, and road pavement design. For some sloping sites, slope instability can also be a significant issue.
Asset’s Geotechnical Engineers have experience completing investigations covering all geotechnical aspects for residential building and subdivision projects, including construction control testing for earthworks and road construction.
