WATER STORAGE FACILITIES
Water storage facilities include above-ground storage tanks, dams / reservoirs, and below-ground caverns. Key geotechnical issues include settlement under loading, foundations, excavation characteristics, dam design, permeability of earth liners, and seepage control.
Asset has carried out ground investigations for diverse types of water storage facilities including large above-ground tanks on uneven and soft ground subject to high earthquake loading, and earth fill dams for water supply for rural properties and coal mines. Our staff also have extensive experience in carrying out and supervising construction control testing for construction of earth fill dams.
