Landfill tip fees can be very costly if a waste classification results in a worse classification than is necessary. Asset engages specialist environmental sub-consultants with particular expertise in waste classificaiton and management, using a pragmatic approach in order to reduce total project costs. This may involve a detailed sampling and testing program where there are contaminants present, to delineate materials by classification, thereby minimising the volume of expensive waste to be disposed.
